On Sunday afternoon, 22nd August the Alresford Churches got together to help the town celebrate the 100 years since Col. Stratton Bates donated the recreation ground in Grange Road. Although it rained from time to time, the event was well supported and enjoyed by all who visited. There were stalls selling produce, fun fair, lots of children’s activities especially in our marquee. Bird of Prey and Wild West demonstrations also took place during the afternoon.



A satisfactory fire practice was held after morning service on 18th July.
A few improvement points were highlighted and are being looked at by the stewards.
Saturday’s News for 24th July
The Church Stewards and Minister met for an “Away Day” at King Somborne Church to discuss church matters. This included organisation, finance and challenges of a growing church.

Although the clouds stayed with us, it did not rain and we were able to have a pleasant afternoon tea outside. We also met the visiting goats which were beautiful “Golden Guernsey’s” and drank their milk in our tea.
The sun shone and a pleasant afternoon was enjoyed by all who visited. Our thanks go to Elizabeth and John for their hospitality.
